How is exact age calculated?
Age counts completed years first, then completed months, then leftover days — borrowing from the previous month when the day-of-month hasn't arrived yet. That's why the answer can differ by a day from rough estimates: this tool does the calendar-accurate version.
Why do forms ask for age 'as of' a specific date?
Many applications (visas, exams, government jobs, sports categories) have age cutoffs on a fixed date — e.g. \"under 30 as of 1 January.\" Set that date in the second field to get the legally relevant answer.
